ACHTLAND

Oliver and Thomas started ACHTLAND in 2012 with a particular aesthetic in mind: A graphic, pared-down elegance with clean-cut silhouettes and a meticulous attention to craftsmanship and fabrics.

Oliver graduated from Central St Martins and has worked for Chloé, Balenciaga in Paris and Hiroko Koshino between London and Tokyo. Thomas has studied Politics and Business, before meeting Oliver in 2006.

The first collection was presented in January 2012 and since then, ACHTLAND has been invited to participate in Christiane Arp’s VOGUE SALON and Franca Sozzani’s THE VOGUE TALENTS CORNER.COM during Milan Fashion Week in March 2014.

Oliver and Thomas’s love for stories becomes evident in their choice of name for their label: ACHTLAND is a mythical Celtic queen, who was born mortal and dissatisfied with the choice of men available to her. She chose to leave her earthly life behind by marrying a god and, thereby, becoming a goddess herself. Stories found at random are often a starting point for a new collection and, therefore, inspiration is likely to come from all over the place:

ACHTLAND collections are designed with a customer in mind who is confident in their style and equally curious.
